Interests & Initiatives

My research interests include molecular and cellular regulation of angiogenesis, vascular cell biology and biochemistry, and pathophysiology of eye diseases with a neovascular component including retinopathy of prematurity, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration. Learning, solving problems, unraveling new findings, and studying ocular vascular function and inflammation at a cellular level and identifying new therapeutic targets for neovascular eye diseases are what drive my research.
